I have a 日直, the back side is not attached any rubber sheet for backhand but would like to change the color (from red to black) because the front side (forehand) I am using a red color rubber sheet. I am seeking your help for the following questions.

1. can this Carbon Fiber Vinyl Sheet be allowed to used under regulation?
2. can the sheet be reusable the blade after I take it off?
3. will it damage the blade when I take it off?

With thanks!

It is from eBay.

ITTF Regulation states that:

2.04.06          The surface of the covering material on a side of the blade, or of a side of the blade if it is left uncovered, shall be matt, bright red on one side and black on the other.

That vinyl sheet should be fine to use as long as it is matt.

It is unlikely to be reused after one application.

The adhesive could splinter the blade if it is strong enough.

Thanks your help.

I think I would use water-based glue to solve the issues for Q2 & Q3. Would it make sense?

That should be okay to do.
